In 1986 he graduated from the Krasnodar State Art School.
In 1996 he graduated from the V. Surikov Moscow State Art Institute (The Russian Art Academy)
Since 1996 Alexey Lantsev has participated in a number of solo and group exhibitions.
Since 1998 has been a member of the Moscow Union of Artists.
He has been working with 'Les Oreades' Gallery since 2000.
